Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy
Early Intervention
Early intervention focuses on teaching children new skills and behaviors, while also working to decrease problematic or challenging behaviors. Therapists use a variety of techniques, such as positive reinforcement, prompting, and shaping, to help children learn and achieve their individual goals. EI services can help to improve the child's overall quality of life and increase their chances of success in school and beyond. Services are provided in a one-on-one setting. All treatment plans are individualized.
School and Community
In school settings, services may include working with the child in a classroom setting to improve following instructions, social skills, and behavior management. Collaboration with teachers and school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to support the child's learning and development. In community settings, services may involve working in real-world environments, such as parks, malls, or community centers, to help practice and generalize skills learned in therapy sessions.
Caregiver Training
Caregiver training is an essential component of ABA therapy. Caregiver training helps parents, family members, and other caregivers learn and implement ABA techniques and strategies in the home, school, and community environment to reinforce and generalize the skills and behaviors learned during therapy sessions.
